Melina is a highly accomplished attorney with extensive experience in the litigation departmentat Block LLP, where she specializes in personal injury cases. She completed her undergraduatedegree in English and Political Science at California State University, Northridge, and earnedher law degree from the University of La Verne, College of Law, where she was the recipient ofa scholarship.
During law school, Melina gained valuable experience working as a Clerk to Judge GregoryKeosian at the Appellate Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and as an Intern at theRiverside City Attorney’s Office and Van Nuys Superior Court. She also volunteered over 500hours with the Neighborhood Legal Services and Homeless Court in Los Angeles.Melina is licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in California, and herpractice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, elder/dependent adult abuse and neglect, and insurance bad faith. Her prior experience as a defenseattorney representing large insurance companies and their clients has given her a uniqueperspective and a competitive edge in advocating for seriously injured individuals.
Melina has experience in all phases of civil litigation, including discovery, law and motion, pretrialmotions, and post-trial motions. She has been selected to the 2020 and 2021 SouthernCalifornia Rising Stars list, as well as Lawyers of Distinction. In addition, she volunteers hertime and serves on the Board of Directors with Montrose Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce,where she is dedicated to supporting and promoting small businesses and community life.
